I am running for Congress because of my love for liberty in the tradition of the Founding Fathers. For me, this is not an intellectual exercise. I actually believe what the Founders discovered and taught. I believe that our divinely-inspired Constitution is being torn to shreds, and that the Declaration of Independence, America's "ark of the covenant," has been abandoned. If we are to restore the culture of liberty we must abolish the social welfare state, and return to constitutional representative government.

Defending liberty

America is in crisis. It is paramount to freedom that we elect men and women to Congress who are prepared to defend the principles of liberty on which this nation was founded. Even now there are those in Congress who wish to abandon the Constitution for some other form of government.

In a positive way, it is my hope to defend the principles that made America the greatest nation on earth. If elected to Congress, I will defend the Constitution in the tradition of the Founding Fathers. I will not go to Washington to defend "conservative values" per se, and I will not go to defend a political party.

The number one issue facing America

Illegal immigrationThe number one issue facing America today is the protection of our borders. It is imperative that the borders be secured. They should be militarized until a fence is built not only to stop illegal immigration but to stop the importation of illegal drugs.

This invasion, and it is an invasion, is supported by a plan signed on to by members of the Bush administration: the plan is called Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). This is the real reason the borders are not closed. The SPP is promoted by members of both major political parties. It represents the total breakdown of law. Every public official in America today, at every level of government, has a duty to get involved and to demand that our borders be closed now. Otherwise, America will lose its culture of liberty.

In addition to upholding our border laws and preserving America's culture of liberty, we must dissolve the social welfare state! This means that within the next few years we must remove all programs not authorized by the United States Constitution — the supreme law of the land.

I say this with all humility, I have no real moral authority in and of myself. We all fall short of God's glory. Nevertheless, I consider the will of my Creator in every political position I take. God's will is embodied in America's standards of liberty: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Holy Scriptures. This was also the standard of the Founding Fathers.

Everything in life doesn't come down to a person's perspective or opinion. From the days of our nation's founding, Americans have relied on the moral compass of eternal, time-tested truths, reflected in our standards of liberty. As Americans, we must have the moral courage to stand up for these principles at all times and in all places, not only when it is convenient.

America's divine destiny

America's divine destinyNever in the history of this nation has so much depended on the direction we now take. Both major parties openly promote socialism. Socialism and the principles of liberty are diametrically opposed. Socialism is a direct attack on the Christian principles on which this nation was founded.

I believe this nation has a divine destiny which has not yet been fulfilled, and you and I are a part of it. I do not believe in chance, but I do believe in Providence, and that our Creator has assured us that just as He raised up wise men in our nation's infancy, he will raise up others to carry this nation into adulthood as one nation under God.

Our founding documents

Declaration of IndependenceWe stand on firm ground when we use this nation's founding documents to articulate a political position. When we ignore our founding documents, we deny ourselves the only real remedy to solve the nation's problems.

There will never be another Declaration of Independence. In addition to Divine Providence, America's hope has to be in a political party committed to restoring the proper role of government. American cannot go further down the road of Fabian socialism. To do so will destroy the liberty American's have enjoyed for over two hundred years.

Daniel WebsterOne of America's greatest statesmen and patriots Daniel Webster (1782-1852) explained it best when he admonished us regarding the Constitution:

Hold on my friends to the Constitution and to the Republic for which it stands. Miracles do not cluster, and what has happened once in 6000 years may not happen again. Hold on to the Constitution, for if the American Constitution should fail, there will be anarchy throughout the world.

As long as patriotic Americans are willing to promote and defend the principles this nation was founded upon, liberty and freedom can prevail forever.

Three days before the ratification of the Declaration of Independence, John Adams asked, "Are men so weak as to now hope for reconciliation with England?"

I ask a similar question: "Are men so weak as to now hope to reform either the Democratic or Republican parties?"

Party loyalties

It is interesting how candidates in both major parties rally around former opponents for the sake of party unity, even when the opponent obviously lacks sound judgment and wisdom in political matters and is sometimes morally bankrupt. Whatever happened to principle? Is party loyalty more important than defending the principles upon which this nation was founded? Party loyalty at all costs is costing America everything, including its good influence in the world. As long as the leadership of the Democratic and Republican parties continue to march in lock step to the drum-beat of Fabian socialism, our nation will decline until the world is in chaos.

Standard of Truth

More than two hundred years ago George Washington asked what all our leaders should be asking themselves today:

If we offer to the people what we ourselves disapprove, how can we afterwards defend our work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair and leave the event in the hand of God.

If both major parties offer to society and to our children gay clubs, gay teachers, same-sex marriage, abortion, illegal immigration, and socialism, how can we afterwards defend our work? And when is afterwards? Is it not judgment day? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair. Let this standard be the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States (in the tradition of the Founding Fathers), and the Holy Scriptures.

This suggests that good, wise, and honest people do not vote for the best bad choice. Good, wise, and honest people vote for those principles which are constitutional in the tradition of the Founding Fathers. Anything more or less than this is evil. Let us do what is right. As good people everywhere, let us do what is right and leave the event in the hands of God.

Socialism is evil

Socialism is evilI joined the Constitution Party primarily because both major parties openly promote socialism. Socialism is not just a political ideology—it is evil. Socialism destroys individuals, communities, and nations. The low standards we see in American today—the out-of-control welfare state, abortion, same-sex marriage, illegal immigration, pornography, and the creation of the North American Union, are all symptoms of a disease. The disease is socialism and her twin sister communism. What we see in America today is the result of 75 years of the New Deal, the New Frontier, and the Great Society, orchestrated by both major parties.

For years the politicians have been promising the American people great things at the people's expense. In exchange for those promises the politicians receive honor, prestige, and security in their present positions. Socialism is a direct attack on liberty. It is a direct attack on the Christian principles that were so important to the founding of America. The more a nation embraces socialism the more secular and godless the nation becomes. What we have today is world-wide socialism with America footing the bill.

Constitution Party

Every major problem in America today can be laid at the feet of the two major parties, which openly and deliberately promote a form of government diametrically opposed to the cause of liberty.
